 Since moving within walking distance to Mold town centre 30 years ago, Liz has worked as an interior designer and helped with dementia and bereavement groups. Sharing skills with others has always been a passion.

Eight years ago owing to health issues, Liz looked for crafts that were available to all levels of ability and dexterity. Metal tape art and scrap booking fit that need perfectly. Adhesive metal tape is laid over various objects (leaves and card cut outs), and stroked with a flat piece of plastic. Outline definition is increased with pointed tools and then buffed with fine sandpaper and coloured with alcohol based marker pens. Another technique is to copy a simple shape, pressing the image through the paper into the tape. These techniques are easy to learn and kind to hand joints.

The traditional art of scrap booking is very recycling friendly and again, the basics are easy to pick up .The books can be made completely from scratch or based on a good quality hard backed kraft paper book. Using traditional paper folding techniques, an enduring unique record of any special day can be created for you. A laced combination of writing and storage space created to match your theme or idea. Courses in either technique can be booked online or by email, local group enquiries welcome.
